Counseling

Students who have coursework or external exams (e.g., APs, IBs, SAT IIs, CLEPs) from other colleges and institutions outside of LACCD: When you forward official transcripts or exams to LACC it does not automatically clear prerequisites nor get evaluated for applicable credits. Please request for such through our counseling services. Thank you.

Counseling services are primarily being provided remotely via email, phone, and video appointments (Cranium Cafe). Our online appointments are 30-60 minute sessions with a professional counselor to go over academic courses, major and graduation requirements, academic policies, transfer, career exploration, comprehensive educational planning and mapping of courses.

Appointments

Unfortunately, our demand for appointments by students will almost always exceed our supply of available counselors. In a small attempt to help address some of these issues, we made appointment slots open on a "rolling" basis where the system will automatically search for openings for the following week or if cancellations occur during the current week.
