Yes. Please visit us in the on campus, in the Student Service Building at the Welcome Center on campus Monday - Thursday 9am - 4pm.
Yes. Students will have access to Adobe programs if they are in a class that requires it. Their instructors will need to talk with the department chair, who requests Adobe directly from the District.
There is an ESL guided self-placement process for an ESL course placement recommendation. You will just need to complete a guided self-placement survey and submit a writing sample. The process will take place approximately one hour to complete.

Counseling services are being provided remotely via email, phone, express, and virtual appointments (Cranium Cafe).
You can schedule an Online Counseling Appointment with Cranium Café for larger questions,
or visit The Express Counseling Lobby for a 10-minute conversation with a counselor for any of the following:
- Prerequisite clearances
- Course advisement
- Information about associate degree/certificate programs
- General education patterns
- IGETC / CSU GE-Breadth inquiries
- Update major, education goal, or home college
- Information about important enrollment deadlines and registration assistance
- Clarification of college policies and procedures
- Brief assistance with various forms/petitions such as: academic renewal, course repeat, pass/non pass, unit overload, etc.

ADMISSIONS & RECORDS
Yes. Please email the instructor and request to be reinstated to the course. If the instructor approves, they will forward the request to the Admissions and Records email to be processed.

Please be sure to send the email from your student email address or the personal email associated with your record. Please include your student ID number, and the names and course numbers you wish to drop.
No. As of now, our processing time has not changed. All transcripts will be sent out in 7-10 business days for regular processing and 1-2 business days for rush.

To order transcript through Parchment website:
- Visit the Parchment website.
- If you have never used Parchment ordering service before, click on New Learner Account.
- If you have used Parchment ordering service before, click on the Existing User Account.
- If you are a third party ordering on behalf of the student, click on New Third-Party Account.
- Read the information and carefully follow the instructions for ordering transcripts
To order transcript through student portal:
- Log on to the student portal.
- Click on "Academic Records"
- Click on "Official Transcript Requests"
- You are now on the Parchment transcript ordering website.

To request your transcript by mail, download the Transcript Request Form.
Alternatively, you may send a written request, with the following information (print clearly):
- Name
- Any other names (including spelling variations of your name/s)
- Social Security Number and/or college assigned ID number

Email your Enrollment Verification Request Form to the Admissions and Records office at admissions@lacitycollege.edu.
Please be sure to send the email from your student email address or the personal email associated with your record. Please include your student ID number, and attach any paperwork that needs to be filled out.
Students who do not successfully complete classes due to the COVID-19 crisis may request an Excused Withdrawal (EW) grade. Please submit the online General Petition. Be sure to include student name, student number, semester, course name, and course number. Admissions and Records Office will process EW requests in the order received and will confirm by email once it is processed. The average petition processing period is 4 to 6 weeks. This time frame may vary depending on our workload.

The 1098-T, IRS Tuition Statement form, will be issued to eligible students who paid out of pocket “qualified educational expenses” in the preceding tax year.
If you qualify to receive the 1098-T form, please update your address in the Student Portal (SIS) and the Business Office will email you a copy of the 1098-T form Your 1098-T is mailed to the permanent address on file with the Admissions Office as of the date the forms are printed (late January).
All payments have to be made by the end of the semester.
CAMPUS INFORMATION
The LACC campus is closed to the public until further notice. A reopening date will be chosen as we learn more about other COVID-19 cases in Southern California. The date may be extended as more cases are reported.

CLASSES & CANVAS
Please note that your class will appear on your Canvas on the first day of the class. And It can take up to 24 hours after you add a class for your account to become active in Canvas.
If your class is not on your Canvas after the first day of class:
Pull up your class schedule to make sure you are enrolled in classes. If you are, log into your student portal and click on the Canvas logo. If you still do not see the course, check your email. Instructors were informed to email their students when the courses should show up on your Canvas account.
Email your instructor, and check your student email daily. Updates are being emailed to students daily from our staff, instructors, and senior staff. Please note that after you have registered it may take up to 3 business days for the class to be added to your Canvas account.
For LACC Canvas Support please email to CanvasSupport@lacitycollege.edu from your LACCD email. Please be sure to include your name, Student ID Number, the section number of the class, and a description of the problem.
FINANCIAL AID
YES! ALL Financial Aid services are available on campus and online. Students are encouraged to submit student loan requests, appeals, and financial aid documents through our online systems. Visit our website for guidance: finaid.lacitycitycollege.edu
The Financial Aid Office is now open on campus from 9am - 4pm. You may also visit the virtual lobby from 8am - 6pm.
The campus will remain closed until further notice, please do not attempt to visit the office in person.

Yes. As long as you are still registered for the same number of units and are considered full-time/part-time, you should receive your FAFSA disbursements as scheduled.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Yes. Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic, you will be able to continue your online classes from anywhere in the world so long as you have access to the internet. However, because the situation is changing daily, it is not recommended to fly internationally at this time.

Our supplier, human-I-T, provides one year of tech support to any student supplied with a Chromebook.

EOPS & SPECIAL SERVICES
EOP&S students will continue to be eligible for to receive EOP&S services as long as they continue to be enrolled in credit units in Spring 2021.
Students must complete the traditionally required three (3) counseling contacts in Spring 2021:
- At least one (1) 1-hour appointment either in Cranium Café or via a telephone appointment with a counselor
- Two (2) Live Chats with a counselor- Live chats in Cranium Café take the place of in-person Walk-in sessions with counselors
You must visit virtual EOP&S Front Desk in Cranium Café to schedule an appointment with a counselor and for Walk-ins:
LACC Student Services, including EOP&S, will use the Cranium Café online platform to deliver most of our services remotely. This is the best way to contact EOP&S staff.

Note: Students need a credit card or debit card number to order textbooks online although it will not be charged if you have enough balance on your book voucher. If you do not have a credit/debit card number, please contact the LACC Bookstore via email at bookstore@lacitycollege.edu OR via live chat on Cranium Café: https://laccd.craniumcafe.com/group/cub-store for further instructions about how to pick up your books.

Meal vouchers will be converted to grants that will be disbursed to students once they have completed their one-hour appointment with an EOP&S counselor. The grant will be disbursed through the Financial Aid disbursement process (funds will be deposited to Bank Mobile accounts).
Tutoring will now take place via Zoom teleconferencing.
