Many ISPs are providing free internet to students, and government programs are also available to assist with costs. (Updated June 4, 2020)

Borrowing and Returning Library Books
The Library is closed until further notice and unable to lend out physical books while we are closed. Library resources and services remain available virtually.
Use the library chat feature for assistance with research and other questions.
Due dates of previously borrowed items are now extended while the Library is closed. Due dates have been extended to the end of Winter Intersession 2022. No fines will be assessed for the duration of this closing. Feel free to keep the books until library reopens, but if you wish, you can return them to the Temporary Library Book Drop, a large silver box located on North Heliotrope Drive at the southwest end of the Administration Building.

ASSISTANCE FOR NONCREDIT & ADULT EDUCATION STUDENTS
Information for Noncredit and Adult Education Students
All classes in the LACC Noncredit Adult Education Program will be conducted using Remote Learning.
Apply & Enroll in Noncredit Online Classes

AVAILABLE COURSE PETITIONS
Drop a course with an EW
LACC will automatically assign an Excused Withdrawal (EW) for all 16-week classes dropped on or before May 10.
Excused Withdrawals (EW) will not have an impact on the student's academic probation status or ability to repeat a course. Students will be refunded if they paid out of pocket for a course and do not have a balance owed on their student account.
File for Pass/No Pass Status
Students will be able to submit a petition to execute a pass/no pass grade option for any class this term and the process will be approved based on the request. The petition must be completed and submitted before May 10, 2020.
Students are strongly encouraged to speak with a Counselor to discuss their options for taking a course Pass/No Pass and the impact it may have on their academic standing, admissions and financial aid, among other areas.

A Weekly Interactive Student Forum
Learn tips on how to cope with stress, optimize time management, improve inter-personal communication and create social activities as they relate to the COVID-19 atmosphere we live in.
Join the forum "What's on Your Mind," on Wednesdays from 12:30 to 1 p.m., hosted by Collegian editor, Ande Richards.

Each week a special guest will offer tips or activities from their area of specialty.
Student participants join via audio only so that they may remain anonymous, and are encouraged to log in under a nickname, or using their first name only.
