Self-Exploration and Career Assessments

LACC has a plethora of resources to better help you with identifying your interests, values, personality, and skills as it relates to your future area of study and career.  We highly recommend you complete one of the available assessments, and review the results with an LACC Career Counselor.  

Super Strong Career Interest Assessment

This interest-based assessment helps you see where your interests intersect with potential academic major and career possibilities.  Results are linked to LACC majors and possible careers.  Assessment results will give you access to specific career information such as educational requirements, salary, and more.

• Eligibility: Everyone is welcome to use this assessment.

  • Use your LACCD email to create an account (ex:  student@student.laccd.edu)

• Time: Online assessment takes about 5 minutes to complete, plus about 15 minutes to review results.
• Cost: No cost, available to anyone.
• Results: Electronic results available immediately through the Superstrong website; results are self-interpretable.

Myers-Briggs Personality Assessment (MBTI)

Through a series of questions, the MBTI assessment helps you identify your personality preferences as it relates to yourself and interactions with others. This assessment is best for self-exploration, understanding your personality, and how you interact with the world around you.

• Eligibility: Everyone is welcome to use this assessment, but it must be administered by a LACC Career Counselor. 
  • Click HERE to make an appointment with an LACC Career Counselor to take the MBTI Personality Assessment.
• Time: Online assessment takes about 20 minutes to complete, plus about 60 minutes to review results with a certified LACC Career Counselor.
• Cost: No cost, available to anyone.
• Results: Electronic results available immediately once you complete the assessment; results are NOT self-interpretable.
