Who Are We?
The RESJ Center was established in the Spring of 2020. The RESJ Center's primary focus will be to improve racial equity and social injustices by implementing programs and initiatives in four main areas: Equity in instruction, human resources policies, and budgets; and equity in all student services. Specifically, the initiative will challenge the systemic barriers to opportunity and dignity that exists for all disenfranchised and unrepresented groups.
Understanding The Center
The RESJ Physical Center will be a safe space and brave space where for students, faculty, staff, and community members can seek racial equity, inclusiveness, and social justice in an environment that embraces all communities and perspectives.
The RESJ Virtual Center will serve as the operational space where for the RESJ Center’s programing and initiatives will be designed and implemented. The Office of the Race Equity and Social Justice Director will be the nucleus of the programing until further notice.
Mission Statement
The Race, Equity, and Social Justice (RESJ) Center provides a variety of support and resources for students, faculty, staff, and community members.
