Refund Policy

Am I entitled to a refund for a course that I dropped?
A student is entitled to an automatic refund if they drop their course before the courses corresponding refund deadline.

Short-Term Courses: For short-term courses please contact your professor or our LACC Admissions and Records Office for an accurate refund date deadline.

 


Refund Request

Student must first drop the course by the course’s corresponding refund deadline for refund request to be processed.

Cash and Check Payments:
If the student has paid their course fees in the form of cash or check, the refunds= will be returned in the form of a check. The Refund Request form must be completed and submitted to the Business Office via email or at our office counter window in person. Please allow 3-5 business days for the request to be processed. Our office will contact you once the check is ready.

Credit Card/Debit Card Payment:
If the student paid their course fees with a credit/debit card a refund will be credited back to the same card used for the payment transaction. Please allow approximately 3-5 business days after the course refund deadline for the refund to be processed and posted onto your bank statement.

What if I dropped the course after its corresponding refund deadline?
If you drop the course after the corresponding refund deadline, no automatic refund will be processed. Please contact Admissions and Records Office for further investigation upon your request.
