Spanish is the official language of 22 countries. It is the native tongue of more than 266 million people. Spanish is the fastest growing language in the US, with over 30 million speakers. Spanish is an official language of the E.U., UNESCO, U.N., GATT, ONUDI & U.I.T. and is one of the most important languages in international political meetings. There are more than 16,000 publications, 250 TV channels and 5,000 radio stations in Spanish. Spanish is quickly becoming one of the most frequently used and important languages for business. Speaking Spanish opens you up to a variety of world cultures, from Spain to South America, Central America and the Caribbean. When you visit a Spanish-speaking country, your experience will be inevitably enriched by communicating in the language of its people.
